SimplyHome will make its Oklahoma debut with 100 new, single-family rental homes in the El Reno community of Crimson Lake Estates

One of the nation’s largest operators of new, single-family build-to-rent homes is heading to Oklahoma City. 


SimplyHome, which has built a portfolio of more than 10,000 single-family rental homes, will make its Oklahoma debut when it adds 100 new, single-family rental homes in the El Reno community of Crimson Lake Estates. 


“We’ve been looking at an opportunity in Oklahoma City for quite some time,” says Matt Hansen, president of SimplyHome. “Crimson Lake Estates offers an accessible location, minutes from Redlands Community College, the Crimson Creek Golf Course and several recreational amenities for those seeking the feel of home ownership without the price tag.” 


Construction of three- and four-bedroom homes in single and two-story floorplans is scheduled to begin in March 2024. SimplyHome’s first new rental homes are expected to be ready for move in by July 2024. 


Open-concept plans offer a variety of features such as large living areas, spacious kitchens, dining areas, Owners Suite with private bath and walk-in closet, and welcoming, covered front porches. All homes also are equipped with modern, energy-efficient appliances, laundry room, wood-grain vinyl plank flooring, two-car garage, fenced backyard, and a sprinkler system.

After three months into their lease, SimplyHome residents in the Next Move Program can end their rental agreements without penalties when they purchase a new home by Legend Homes. Residents will receive 10% of the rent they’ve paid, up to $5,000, on their SimplyHome residence as credit towards the purchase of their new home, and they can receive up to $15,000 toward closing costs on their new Legend home when using a preferred lender. 


Down-payment assistance programs also are available under terms of the program.
