Legend Homes Installs Pink Rebar Cabling in Homes in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 11, 2024

pink cables will be installed in all legend homes properties throughout october

In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Houston-based Legend Homes will add a touch of pink to every new home it has under construction in the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth areas in October to serve as a structural, as well as symbolic, purpose.

Throughout the month, Legend Homes crews will reinforce foundations with limited-edition, pink rebar cables to represent the strong, binding support that exists for women diagnosed with breast cancer, explains Tanya Rizzo, president of Legend Homes.

“The pink rebar cables do more than reinforce homes, they reinforce the community’s collective commitment to breast cancer awareness,” she says. “They are a small, but meaningful way to remind everyone of the strength and resilience of women facing breast cancer, and the loved ones who stand beside them.”

The pink cables are supplied by Builders Post-Tension, a leading provider of concrete reinforcement materials and rebar. This year marks the company's 11th year of providing pink cables to area homebuilders in support of breast cancer awareness.

Rizzo adds the pink rebar cables are an especially important touch for the growing number of women purchasing new homes.
