Legend Homes Named as a 2024 USA Today Top Workplace

Legend Homes joins a short list of the best organizations in the country.

Legend Homes announced today that it was named a 2024 USA Today Top Workplace. With its selection, the company joins a short list of organizations dedicated to fostering people-first workplace cultures and prioritizing the employee experience.

“Being named as one of the Top Workplaces in the country is an incredible honor for Legend Homes that couldn’t have been achieved without our team,” Camillo Companies CEO Margaret Potter said.

The national recognition celebrates organizations with 150 or more employees that have cultivated exceptional workplace environments. Of the more than 42,000 invited organizations, Legend Homes secured the award based solely on an employee engagement survey administered by Energage, the HR technology and research firm behind the Top Workplaces program.

Survey results were evaluated by comparing responses to research-based statements that predict high performance against industry benchmarks; companies with the best scores were selected for the 2024 Top Workplaces list. USA Today announced the list of winners during a national celebration of the awards held in New York City on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

"The Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor and something companies should be very proud to showcase,” Energage CEO Eric Rubino said. “The people-first cultures they have built and nurtured will set them apart in a highly competitive market. These organizations represent the best of the best."

Founded in 1991, Legend Homes is an affiliate of Camillo Companies, a privately owned residential real estate company based in Houston, Texas. The prestigious Top Workplaces award marks the culmination of recent culture-building efforts within Camillo Companies and Legend Homes.

“More than two years ago, we began the process of rethinking how we build our culture around shared values,” Legend Homes President Tanya Rizzo said. “We thought long and hard about how we implement these values to leave a lasting impact on the customers and communities we serve — and how we build a team that believes in this mission.”

During this process, Camillo Companies and Legend Homes enhanced employee benefits, elevated operational capacity, and implemented tools and resources that drive engagement. While company culture is always changing, each of these improvements is designed to empower employees to grow and succeed both on the job and at home, a sentiment that reflects the company’s time-honored approach to management and growth.

“Our success at Legend Homes and Camillo Companies will always begin with our employees,” Potter said. “And because of that, we can proudly say what our team has known for more than 30 years: we’re one of the best workplaces in the country.”
