SimplyHome and Esusu Introduce New Partnership to Help Residents Increase their Credit Score

Mar 21, 2023

SimplyHome is offering a partnership with Esusu to help residents to boost their credit rating using their rent payment performance — all at no cost to them.

Credit scores are a critical component of every American’s financial life. They help banks, credit card companies, and other financial institutions determine a person’s creditworthiness. According to Experian, higher scores typically signal “that a borrower is lower risk and more likely to make on-time payments.”

One of the best ways someone can improve their credit is by paying bills on time. Yet for many renters, on-time rent payments go unnoticed and unreported, which can limit financial flexibility for people who are interested in one day purchasing a home among other major fiscal decisions.

Now, SimplyHome is offering a way for residents to boost their credit rating using their rent payment performance — all at no cost to them.

We are excited to announce our new partnership with Esusu! The financial technology platform empowers renters with rent reporting tools that help them build credit as well as rental assistance that unlocks financial access and stability for renters.

With this new benefits program offered at no cost to SimplyHome residents, renters can build their credit score by automatically reporting their on-time rent payments. Residents can also receive rent relief through Esusu if they were adversely affected by COVID-19 or experiencing financial hardship. Additionally, renters can use Esusu to access a list of services and programs focused on financial support and well-being.

All current and future SimplyHome residents are automatically enrolled in the Esusu program for the duration of their lease.
